FULLY REMOTE - Staff Accountant
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is a leading provider in the Senior Healthcare/Property space and is seeking individuals willing to learn and grow in the accounting and finance space. This position is fully-remote and has a great work-life balance while building out the team. This is a newly created position with a great CPA mentor that is willing to put the time in to train and develop members of their team. This dynamic staff accountant role will be exposed to all facets of full-cycle accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES of Staff Accountant:
- General Ledger including journal entries and reconciliations
- A/R, A/P duties including invoicing, resolving, submittal, and status of payment
- Assist with month-end close and assist with external audit
- Assisting in month-end close and financial reporting
- Audit and external financial reporting schedules
- Ad hoc reporting
- Variance analysis
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED for Staff Accountant:
We are looking for someone with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with us. You should be highly organized and detail-oriented, with outstanding analytic and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1+ Years of Accounting Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to speak with established clients regarding accounts
