This position is currently Limited Term 12 months and may be extended to 24 months or become permanent.
Maintain the Program’s position roster and adhere to the Department of Finance rules and regulations governing the establishment of Civil Service positions. Prepare necessary documentation to establish, abolish, and reclassify positions, as well as encumber monies for various blankets. Project blanket expenditures and prepare management reports as required. Prepare monthly vacancy report, hire and separation report, and Personnel Services budgetary and overtime expenditures report. Prepare the annual Schedule 8 and Section 41 reports and reconcile the Program’s established positions to those identified by Department of Finance. Participates and provides essential input concerning Personnel Services issues in meetings.
Reviews individual positions whenever a classification issue is raised regarding the level of duties being performed. Reviews and approves Out-of-Class packages, and maintains a tracking system to ensure compliance with CalHR guidelines governing Out-of-Class procedures.
