Job Description

YRCI is seeking a full-time Staffing Specialist, Lead to support our Human Resources Remote Operations Center (HRROC™), located in Fairfax, VA. YRCI's HRROC™ is a Shared Service Center that supports multiple Federal agencies and offers a friendly, collaborative team environment with access to training from industry experts!

The Role (Fully Remote)

  • Although the YRCI home office is located in Fairfax, VA, this position is fully remote.
  • Support high-profile and high-volume Delegated Examining (DE) and Merit Promotion (PM) recruitment activities for various agencies.
  • Attend client meetings; perform strategic consultations, prepare job analysis, assessment questionnaires, and specialized experience statements.
  • Document evaluation criteria in accordance with the agency's requirements, review and adjudicate Veterans' Preference as claimed by applicants, review applicant qualifications for the full range of the agency's occupations and provide written justification.
  • Prepare and issue certificates of eligibles.
  • Work as a part of a team, coach, mentor, and train and HR Assistants/Specialists.
  • Use knowledge and experience to support the Quality Control process; review work of others, provide constructive corrections and recommendations for improvement as method of on-the-job training for less experienced staffing professionals.
  • Review would include: job analysis, specialized experience, assessment questionnaire, job opportunity announcement, rating, and certificates.
  • Serve as a POC for staff and clients to resolve escalated issues.
  • Provide oversight of team members, monitoring time and attendance, performance feedback, etc.
  • Use multiple automated staffing systems and tracking systems, as required.
  • Maintain accurate case files in accordance to agency procedures; develop desk reference or job aid on the documented processes.
  • Advise management on pay-setting, compensation management and leave entitlements, making appropriate recommendations to the hiring manager for salary setting in a pay-banded system.
Job Requirements

Job requirements:

  • Active Office of Personnel Management (OPM) DE certification is highly preferred.
  • As a condition of employment, you must be able to obtain and maintain an active DEU certification.
  • Qualified Staffing Specialists will have a minimum of seven (7) years of operational staffing experience completing job analyses in coordination with hiring managers, posting job announcements on USAjobs, performing qualifications adjudications, and issuing selection certificates using Monster, or similar electronic staffing systems for complex Federal positions.
  • Recent experience working in a DEU environment is required.
  • Ability to apply and interpret Federal HR laws, policies, and agency specific operating procedures.
  • Ability to handle high priority and a high volume of assignments in a production based environment.
  • Attention to detail, data quality and data integrity.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Must have excellent writing skills.
  • Experience in reviewing, writing and coaching Executive candidates in preparation for competition and promotion in the public sector preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the government required security check.
  • Must be a US Citizen
