We’re looking for an innovative, execution-focused State Filing Manager to advise, plan, and coordinate the successful filing of Lemonade products and lead a team of state filing experts.

You’ll work closely with teams across Lemonade to establish filing priorities, strategies, and timelines and facilitate regulatory approvals. You will be a key player as Lemonade continues to assemble a world-class filing function and launches innovative insurance offerings that pose unique filing and regulatory challenges.

The starting base range for this position is between $90K and $120K per year. Base pay is one component of Lemonade's total compensation package, which will also include equity in the form of RSUs, access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan with company match, robust PTO, parental leave, and more.

In this role you’ll

• Collaborate with members of Insurance Product, Actuarial, State Management, and Underwriting to guide and execute the filing pipeline
• Navigate state regulations and objections with an eye on swift approval
• Maintain a knowledge base of competitor filing strategies and industry filing trends
• Guide, mentor, develop, and manage a team
• Introduce scalable processes to meet ambitious goals
• Coordinate with other state filing managers to develop best practices

What you’ll need

• 4+ years of state filing, regulatory compliance, or product management experience
• A comprehensive understanding of filing fundamentals, but a willingness to challenge traditional practices
• Superior organizational capabilities, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Data-driven and tech savvy, with solid experience simultaneously developing and handling complex filing, compliance, or product initiatives
• Passion for training, developing, and mentoring a team with empathy and high EQ
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in an office environment
