Job Summary
The Strategic Program Specialist is responsible for assisting with the development of ongoing projects related to sustainability, enterprise-wide compliance, business continuity, and ISO programs.
Primary Objectives
- Coordinate reporting and monitoring of strategic, enterprise-wide programs.
- Create, review, and revise documentation, policies, and procedures for a variety of strategic programs and projects.
- Provide project leadership and administrative support for assigned projects, programs, and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with business unit leaders, project team members, and vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the continued development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of The Pasha Group's Environmental Sustainability and Energy Management, Social, Governance, and Grant programs.
- Organize and prepare data for annual ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) disclosure frameworks, which may include annual greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory.
- Work with internal stakeholders to integrate and improve environmental sustainability and energy management in their functions and activities, as assigned.
- Support compliance with regulations and obligations related to security including Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Security regulations, Department of Defense, Customer requirements, and similar government programs or contracts.
- Coordinate reporting and monitoring of enterprise-wide cyber and operational security status and compliance with corporate and external security requirements.
- Administer Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) programs and policies.
- Support administration of company ISO9001 Quality and ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems. Provide support in audit preparation, internal audits, and actions.
- Assist with development, documentation, and implementation of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP).
- Provide project leadership and administrative support for assigned projects, programs, and initiatives.
- Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies and complete required compliance documentation.
- Prepare regular activity and management reports for senior management and project teams.
- Research awards, grants, and recognition criteria and application processes.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field or equivalent combination of coursework and experience in a directly related field required
Preferred Licenses and Certifications
- Transportation Worker Identity Credential (TWIC) preferred
- ISO9001, 18001, or 14001 Internal Auditor certification or equivalent experience in other quality systems preferred
Required Work Experience
- 3+ years of experience of related project, program, or administrative support position
Preferred Work Experience
- Experience in the transportation, logistics, or maritime industry preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of quality systems audit processes.
- Strong organization and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to handle multiple, conflicting, priorities with a high level of efficiency and diplomacy.
- Ability to effectively apply knowledge of best practices to inform and collaborate with others to drive sound business decisions.
- Ability to prepare and deliver concise and timely and persuasive communications to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent ability to work independently and have direct responsibility for producing materials.
- Ability to use appropriate metrics, methods, and data to monitor, measure, and improve processes and practices.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply policies and procedures.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical data, regulations, and government legislations
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products at the following levels:
- Word, Excel: Intermediate level of skill
- Outlook, PowerPoint: Basic level of skill
