Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with experience. This salary structure provides with additional pay incentives aside from the salary range of $99,443.76 - $144,181.18. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Coral Gables operates under a commission/manager form of government and is well known for its active and involved citizenry. Performs engineering work in the review and approval of structural plans to ensure compliance with the Florida Building Code. Provides structural and design support to the City and Development Services Department by enforcing regulatory building codes for quality construction. Responsible for conducting field inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans. Performs evaluation work involving the application of skilled technical knowledge and judgment in examining plans, blueprints and other specifications for conformity to legally established requirements. Exercises considerable initiative and independent judgment under the direction of the Building Official .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer by the State of Florida.Must be a Structural Plans Examiner as per the Miami-Dade County Board of Rules and Appeals. Valid Florida Driver's License.
