Overview:

Encantado Technical Solutions is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to support a major national laboratory. The team provides computer science expertise, solutions architecting, and full-stack software development support to partner organizations across the laboratory. We specialize in building software tools that perform modeling and analysis to inform critical decisions in missions including incident response, cyber security, infrastructure protection, and strategic defense. You will program user interfaces, support software development, and provide model-level and system-level knowledge and expertise to users. To accomplish this, you will need 8 years of relevant experience, with experience in Unix/Linux design and development.
Responsibilities:
- Participates on teams of software and systems engineers
- Plan and manage cost and schedule for software projects
- Meet with customers and experts to capture technical requirements and report on development progress/status
- Produce user stories, wireframes, diagrams, and prototypes
- Program user interfaces in Java Swing, Java FX, or React
- Support software development on and deployment to classified network systems
- Assist in recruitment, hiring, and mentoring of new team members
- Propose innovative technological solutions and support proposal development for new projects
- Provide model-level and system-level knowledge and expertise to users, program leaders/partners, and customers
- BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering plus 8 years’ experience
- Experience in UI/UX design and development
- Experience with cross-platform development/deployment (MacOS, Windows, Linux)
- Experience with software quality control and testing, including continuous integration and unit testing
- Experience on teams of software and systems engineers including planning and managing of cost, schedule, and technical requirements of software projects
- Experience with developing in C#, C/C++, Java, or Python
Desired:
- Active DOE Q with SCI clearance
- Experience with NNSA's WMD Response or Counter Proliferation mission and programs
- Experience developing software on DOE classified networks
- Experience developing modeling and simulation tools
- Strong organizational skills and experience successfully balancing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to exercise long term strategic planning
- Excellent communication skills
