Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Summer Camp Teacher to join our team for the upcoming summer camp program. The Summer Camp Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing a variety of educational and recreational activities for children aged 3 to 12 years old during our summer camps (June 12 – August 18).

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement daily lesson plans and activities for the summer camp program that align with the interests and abilities of the children.

- Create a fun and safe learning environment that encourages participation and engagement.

- Supervise and monitor the children during all activities, ensuring their safety at all times.

- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding the progress and behavior of their children.

- Plan and organize field trips and outdoor activities, ensuring all necessary arrangements are made.

- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate activities and events.

- Ensure that all program materials and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

- Training or education in the field of education preferred.

- Previous experience working with children in a camp or classroom setting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Working Hours:

The Summer Camp Teacher position is a full-time, Monday through Friday role, working 5-8 hours a day. Additional hours may be required for staff meetings or special events.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
