Supply Chain Demand Analyst
1. The Role: Overall Purpose
The Supply Chain Demand Analyst will oversee all functions related to ingredient demand and supply throughout Pret a Manger’s North American Supply Chain. Primary responsibility will be to ensure that we have the right products in the right places at the right time. This role on the US Commercial Team is critical in the delivery of key commercial and food objectives against the US growth plan. This role will be instrumental in strengthening the Pret supply chain, ensuring our shop orders are fulfilled and our customers have a full assortment of delicious food and drinks to enjoy.
2. Scope of Role
Working cross functionally with Food, QA, Buying, Finance, Operations and Marketing teams as well as externally with manufacturers and distributors, this role will be a strategic asset to the organization, allowing Pret to strike the right balance between achieving sales targets and mitigating risk.
3. Core Responsibilities
Forecast and Demand Planning
Develop forecast models for new and existing ingredients, utilizing the most appropriate models and tolerances depending on strategic value by ingredient
Liaise with franchise partners to develop forecasts for new markets and closely monitor performance
Report on forecast performance on a weekly basis
Determine ways to improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias, and implement changes as needed
Inventory and Supply Planning
Manage risk of liability on aged and obsolete inventory and work proactively with external and cross functional partners to mitigate risk
In conjunction with Logistics Manager, find cost savings for franchise partners by reviewing shipment data to find efficiencies
Develop and maintain ingredient list by market to identify sources and assure compliance
Compare multi-level inventory reports to forecast and work cross functionally to manage any issues
Communication and Operations
Develop communications for shops and partners related to inventory and forecast challenges
Manage communication with Distributors and Manufacturers to ensure proper preparation is in place for product launches
4. Additional Responsibilities
Undertaking additional departmental projects on an ad-hoc basis
Occasional travel
Attend the required number of Buddy Days in a designated shop

6. Essential Skills / Knowledge
Intricate knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools and forecasting processes
Advanced Excel skills
Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with Shops and Support Center teams
Ability to plan, prioritize and multitask
Good project management skills
Capable of working independently
7. Required experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance or Engineering preferred
2-4 years experience in demand planning, preferably within the food service industry

Compensation: $85,000 + 20% bonus potential
