Supply Chain Global Director

The position is a strategic supply chain director that is tasked with managing supply chains for specific customers and with developing strategic initiatives to identify and improve Sanmina’s approach to supply chain. The position will be responsible for leading a crossfunctional team to identify key opportunities and issues in the industry as well as identify solutions and opportunities for Sanmina

Roles

Customer Supply Chain Management

• Act as customer supply chain for significant account(s)

• Serve as key customer contact on supply chain issues
• Develop programs to increase agility, PPV, and net cash cycle days
• Implement supply chain strategies to improve the effectiveness of the supply chain and increase profitability
• Interface with internal supply chain and plant resources to obtain key objectives

Strategic Supply Chain Management

• Lead project to develop a repeatable methodology to identify the origin of spend at the plant/customer level (looking at country and region of origin)
• Utilize that tool to analyze risk and put in place a program to address risk of sourcing by country
• Work with management on a mechanism to monetize the analysis
• Once the project is underway, develop a way that other supply chain managers can use the information to accomplish the goals
• Maintain overall ownership of the project

Forward looking needs analysis and project planning

• Benchmarking and needs analysis for supply chain needs by market segment
• Keep a pulse on what is going on in the industry so we can be aware of trends and proactively address them
• Benchmark competition capabilities and approaches to supply chain issues

Risk Management Lead

• Manage the customer risk alert system
• Responsible for identifying when alerts need to be drafted and drafting the initial alerts
• Maintain the distribution database
• Solicit feedback on effectiveness and work to improve

Strategic Sales Support

• Assistance in developing specific responses on high priority sales opportunities
• Working with sales team to develop and maintain analytic tools they can use in preparing quote responses

• Maintain database of supply chain presentations and update as needed
• Selling value of supply chain in EMS

Supplier Engagement support

• Develop strategy and presentation package to demonstrate to supplier benefits of working with Sanmina

• Benchmark with suppliers current issues that may be driving problems in the relationships
• Focal point for new opportunities/leads suppliers give us
• Understand Supply base trends

Education:

• Bachelor Degree
• 12-15 years experience in Supply Chain management, Sales and/or Manufacturing as a whole or combined fields.
