Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop relationships with top quality suppliers
  • Administer and support the RFQ and sourcing council process
  • Follow and create process for purchasing team from start to finish
  • Competitively negotiate, evaluate, and issue PO's for the Automotive Industry (specifically, Chassis, Powertrain, Interior, Exterior, and Electrical)
  • Release orders for materials, tooling and other to meet company objectives
  • Facilitate the timely delivery of parts and components for prototype and production deliverables
  • Work closely, and communicate efficiently with all internal and external stakeholder(s)
  • Support contract negotiations as assigned by Manager
  • Ensure stakeholder(s) (internal and external) receive products/services within expected timelines
  • Confirm that orders are completed and received
  • Aid in launching MRP/ERP in regards to supplier set up and management

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical), or related discipline
  • Past experience/exposure with RFP/RFQ process
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent written, and verbal skills
  • Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's in Business Administration
  • Proficiency in Spanish, German, or Chinese a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in Automotive, Consumer Electronics/Tech industries
  • Exceptional organizational ability with good follow-up skills and attention to details are a must
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various teams including engineers and supply chain personnel
