Part-time; M-F 3pm-7pm; $20/hour
The Support Assistant is an essential role which serves as the first point of contact for work orders from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. This position will work with Installers, clients, and probation agents to ensure work orders are being fulfilled within the required timeframe. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication, ascribe to a servant leadership philosophy, and have a strong attention to detail.
This position is responsible for assigning work orders based on Installer location and timeframe & will work closely with Installers across the state by assisting with basic troubleshooting of various electronic monitoring devices and with any service-related questions. The Support Assistant will occasionally handle installations and other maintenance-related requests with clients.

- Demonstrated ability to work well with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Demonstrated ability to learn technical requirements of installation/retrieval/troubleshooting of each electronic monitoring device
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to communicate professionally & accurately, both orally and written
Requirements:
- High school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience and/or education in Criminal Justice, Social Work, or related human service field preferred
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule; this role requires 2nd shift evening and/or weekend availability
- Valid driver’s license and automobile with insurance
- Pass a pre-employment (and ongoing, as required) background check
