Surgical Scrub Tech

**$1,500 Sign-On Bonus**

Part-time Opening: 0.5 to 0.7, work Monday through Friday with flexed morning start times, weekday, weekend and holiday call rotation.

Position Summary: Must display great teamwork, effective communication, and attention to detail, ability to anticipate, problem solving and critical thinking skills throughout the perioperative areas. Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care. Maintains accountability for his/her own practice; participates in patient and family teaching; and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professionalism in all care settings.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Preps operating room for patient/procedure

· Serves as a resource to inform, clarify, and educate patient/family.

· Demonstrates personal/professional growth and competency

· Evaluates effectiveness of goals and standards of unit/hospital/department.

· Promotes an environment of teamwork, customer service and positive communications.

· Setting up the instruments and equipment that is required for the procedure

· Sterilizing equipment and taking an inventory to ensure there are enough supplies for surgery

· Passing the Surgeon instruments and sterile supplies throughout the operation

· Performing a surgical count as outlined in department policies.

· Maintaining an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery

· Performs other position-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Sterile Processing experience

· Current BLS Certification

· Computer knowledge
