ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
LIVIC Civil is looking to fill a full-time position for a Survey Field Technician in our brand new Montoursville office. The candidate should be flexible and able to adapt to changing activities and workloads as you could be working on a multitude of assignments. The position will require good interpersonal skills that allow the candidate to effectively collaborate with other team members of varying backgrounds and experiences. The Survey Field Technician will report to the Survey Party Chief, Project Manager, or Director based on the project.

As LIVIC continues to grow, we are always in search of fresh talent, so feel free to reach out even if you dont quite match the position requirements. As of now, we employ multiple engineers specializing in Land Development, Traffic and Transportation, and Municipal. In addition, but not limited to, we have drafting professionals, landscape architects, a utility coordinator, a construction manager, and a GIS analyst. We have a diverse staff in terms of work experience and area of expertise. Generally, if you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach you. Essential job functions include:

Adjust and operate surveying equipment
Collect and record survey measurements and field data using multiple methods such as notes, sketches, and tracings
Ability to stakeout construction sites
Coordinate and work with contractors, engineers, surveyors, designers, and/or technicians
Connect and keep clients up to date on progress of project
Other duties as assigned

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS This position is suited to a self-motivated, professional person who can confidently work with a variety of people from different backgrounds within the Civil Engineering field. Strong communication and organizational skills are important to the success of this position. Ability to be a self-starter with attention to detail and follow through. Enthusiasm to learn and develop with maintaining a positive, solution driven attitude.
Accommodate necessary travel needs
Adhere to the proper safety standards in the field

Strong PC Skills i.e. Word, Excel, MS Outlook, Virtual Conferencing
High standards of confidentiality to handle sensitive information
Excellent Written and Oral Skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying
Associates Degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying Technology will be considered
0-2 years of field and/or office experience as a surveyor.
Basic knowledge of field surveying processes and procedures
