Ladson, SC
Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, PLLC (ICE) is actively seeking a Surveyor to join our team in the Update to support various transportation projects. Qualified candidates must have three years minimum experience operating survey equipment and experience in construction surveying. Once qualified candidates have been identified, you will be contacted by the recruiting team for next steps.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform boundary, topographic, right-of-way, transportation and construction surveys.
  • Operate survey equipment including total station, levels, GPS, and data collectors.
  • Make arithmetic calculations, (i.e., percentages. ratio, averages), performs inspections of materials, instruments, equipment or items to be tested for flaws or defects.
  • Work in a team-oriented manner with General Contractors, subs and SCDOT.
Qualifications:
  • Three (3) years minimum experience operating survey equipment, experience in construction surveying preferred
  • Experience in GPS, total stations, engineer’s level and data collectors required.
  • Robotic total station experience a plus
  • HS diploma required
  • Associate degree in an engineering field preferred
  • Above average math and problem-solving skills are required
  • Ability to efficiently complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision with a focus on client service
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be a US Citizen or Legal Resident with a current driver’s license with a good 3-year driving record
Physical Demands
  • This position requires minimal lifting of up to 40 pounds on an infrequent basis
  • Hand and eye coordination adequate for computer data entry, operate surveying equipment, calculator and concrete testing equipment
  • Ability to travel and tour work sites on occasion
Expected Hours of Work
  • This position will be a full-time position
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday with some weekend work as needed
