Job Description:
Seeking multiple Systems Engineer (s) to become a key member of an Engineering team providing system engineering expertise, to develop and deploy an Infrastructure Framework for US Space Force.
- Work within a collaborative environment with systems development teams, system integrators, analysts, network architect, cybersecurity personnel, and configuration management personnel.
- Proactively resolve technical issues that could impact development schedules and overall performance of the framework applications.
- Apply knowledge of systems applications and software test methods to delineate and characterize system behavior.
- Develop tools, applications, scripts, and architectures to support the testing and execution of the framework.
- Adhere to the Systems Development Lifecycle
- Participate in and potentially conduct technical meetings and working groups
Experience and Certifications:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Science or Engineering OR five (3) or more years' practical experience with systems development.
- Security clearance or the ability to obtain one up to TS/SCI
Requirements:
- Must be willing to take the Poly
- Must be willing to work on site
- Must have an active secret clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Must be willing to work in a lab environment
- Knowledge of C++, Java, Python, Fortran, SQL, Oracle, Cameo, Sparx EA
- Knowledge of framework implementation
- Experienced in Configuration Management tool such as Subversio, git, or bitbucket.
- Able to work contentedly and effectively with team members within the same organization, including other DOD contractors and government leads, as well as teams and individuals from outside organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Desired Skills:
- Prior modeling and simulation (M&S) experience
- Active TS with SCI eligibility
- Experience with scripting languages like Bash, AWK, sed, Perl, Python.
- Full stack development
- Experience with Agile and Test-driven design methodologies
- Security plus certification
