About the Position

W-S Companies is seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator (TAC) to provide administrative and scheduling support to our Hiring Managers while creating a seamless hiring experience for all candidates who have applied for a position. The candidate selected for this position will communicate with applicants to coordinate applications, interviews, and in processing steps from application to onboarding. They will also coordinate with our hiring managers in the field and maintain two-way communications, as necessary, between the applicant and hiring manager until the candidate is hired or not selected. The TAC should be comfortable communicating and engaging with all levels of employees and deliver optimal results in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be confident, professional, responsive, and known for their strong sense of urgency. The position will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Become the subject matter expert with our recruiting tool
  • Screen resumes/applications based on various positions to determine qualified candidates
  • Use independent judgment to compare candidates and skills assessments with position requirements to determine if the candidate is a match for the role or a potential match for other open positions
  • Responsible for scheduling interviews for the hiring managers and staying updated on any schedule changes that may occur
  • Maintaining our Applicant Tracking System and providing reports on current recruitment activity
  • Source candidates (both passive and active) via resume databases, search engines, and networking sites using Boolean search language.
  • Prepare, publish and coordinate with the Marketing Team job advertisements and social media campaigns with sources such as Facebook, etc.
  • Promptly respond to candidates' emails and internal clients regarding any inquiries during the recruiting process
  • Tracks a new employee from initial application through the candidate interview, conducts background screening, drug testing, and physicals, and assists in completing new hire paperwork and send to Corporate HR
  • Maintains records and reports on recruiting activities
  • Ensure that all company policies are followed throughout the hiring process
  • May be assigned additional HR-related duties as the position develops

Skills/Qualifications

Required

  • Valid identification
  • High school diploma required; associate degree in business, management, human resources, or a related field strongly desired

Preferred

    • Bilingual (English/Spanish), a plus
    • At least two years of recruiting or HR experience with industrial and mechanical services recruiting or a related field
    • Experience in human resources, including compensation, benefits, recruiting, hiring, and training
    • Demonstrated abilities with a proven track record in sourcing active and passive candidates
    • Experience with applicant tracking systems
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Applicant Tracking systems, etc.
    • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to work independently and exercise sound professional judgment
    • Ability to multi-task and take direction from multiple people
    • Strong initiative, proactive manner, and persistence in follow-up
    • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities
    • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
    • Demonstrated business professionalism, respect for confidentiality, and appropriate handling of sensitive information with tact, diplomacy, and discretion
    • Excellent and concise communication skills demonstrated with an ability to listen and communicate effectively and persuasively in verbal and written presentation
    • Ability to work well in a team environment, including cross-functional teams
