What you'll be doing:
- Manage respective team of Collectors/Accounts Receivable specialists and / or coordinating with third party collection agencies. Coach, develop and ensure focus and alignment with functional and company goals. Perform talent management and assessment requirements for team.
- Oversee and balance Collections/Accounts Receivable team workload
- Monitor receivables balances and collections, provide updates of receivables and provide detailed reporting.
- Participate and manage all aspects of the Collections/Accounts Receivable processes as follows: 1) Billing 2) Cash Application 3) Customer adjustments and refunds 4) Aging receivable for customer balances Customer Credit Management 5) Collection agencies
- Attract, develop and retain talent. Ensure focus and alignment with functional and company goals. Provide employees with continuous feedback and coaching using talent-and-performance management tools.
- Oversee the resolution of issues with customer accounts
- Respond to all vendor inquiries
- Assist Management with special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related business area and 2+ years accounts receivable/collections experience or Equivalent combination of education and experience and a minimum of 4 years managing employees
- Ability to perform extremely detailed breakdown of the accounts receivable subledger to identify trend, anomalies or sub-groups that require additional focus
- Ability to manage projects that are complex in nature where professional judgment is required in solving problems and making recommendations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Experience working in Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) compliance environment, with a focus on internal controls
- Minimum 2 years of experience in SAP ERP
