Job Summary:
Reporting to the Technology Enablement Lead, is responsible for assisting in the evaluation, recommendation, integration, support, and monitoring of any digital platform or solution designed, developed, acquired, and/or configured (internally/externally) to improve any PMO-produced processes, procedures, standards, and artifacts; and to ensure the Capital Programs department delivery capabilities by enabling operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise and knowledge to the PMO regarding IT application support and administration best practices, update existing processes, procedures, and standards documentation to meet best practices where applicable.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of strategies and plans to achieve better delivery through the enablement/enhancement of process and technology.
- Assist in the evaluation of current processes providing recommendations, and directing the implementation of digital enhancements where required.
- Responsible for applications and tools configuration, testing, and overall quality of related deliverables and documentation delivered by the service provider.
- Encourage the use and adoption of PMO systems within the business through support, change management techniques, and user training and education.
- Partners with IT to build a solid working relationship with the IT department and service providers.
- Be aware of any new trend, standard, or strategy on IT OT digital platforms or infrastructure that can be applied to develop or enhance any Capital Programs' process, procedure, standards, or artifact.
- Participate in IT change management processes to make improvements, fix bugs/issues, resolve incidents, and track and implement enhancements to the system.
- Responsible for identifying any functional, non-functional, integration, and implementation requirements of any project management software tools.
- Keeps up to date with new trends, standards, strategies used on IT OT platforms or applications that can be applied to Capital Programs procedures, standards, and tools.
- Stay on top of best practices and, when appropriate, implement these best practices at LUMA.
- Participates and occasionally leads workshops and brainstorming sessions.
- Perform major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent degree is required.
- Project Management training/certification (i.e., PMP) and/or Lean Six Sigma training and certification or equivalent relevant experience is considered an asset.
- Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience, including IT implementation project experience with demonstrated ability to execute from the requirements-gathering phase through deployment.
- Experience identifying, developing, and implementing business and IT processes.
- Excellent communication skills to assist in building strong relationships with business users, team members, and service providers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and Office 365 cloud applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, Flow, Visio, and Forms, is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft cloud applications, MS Azure, SharePoint, Power BI, MS Project, and MS Project Online is considered an asset.
- Experience with enterprise project management (EPM) software is considered an asset.
- Experience with document control system (DCS) software is considered an asset.
- Experience with Oracle Aconex, Primavera Unifier, P6 and Analytics, and/or iGrafx is considered an asset.
- Experience working in an electric utility, including understanding the regulatory environment and process, is considered an asset.
