Position Summary:


The Technology Trainer position is located in our Chicago office.

The Technology Trainer designs and conducts general and legal specific training programs for the Firm’s personnel utilizing classroom, virtual learning, and individualized training forums. This position ensures the Firm’s personnel comprehend the necessary software technology features to perform the core functions of their jobs. The Technology Trainer works under general supervision and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

As a Technology Trainer, you will:
  • Analyze trends and user feedback to understand user needs
  • Design, promote, and evaluate IT training and orientation programs for the firm’s personnel to meet user needs
  • Deliver in-person and virtual training including motivating participants, maintaining focus and adapting training style to meet the needs of participants (including new hire onboarding training and follow up, 1:1 training and support)
  • Troubleshoot and provide end-user support related to software issues; track and resolve tickets in the ticketing system based on internal ticket resolution guidelines
  • Work with IT and administrative leadership to identify training priorities and strategies
  • Collaborate with IT project teams to evaluate and test system upgrade functionality, create process manuals and develop training programs and communications associated with the project rollout
  • Create and maintain training schedules, materials, and reference guidelines, including visual aids, online learning modules, course handouts, communications and invitations
  • Prepare and analyze training progress reports and summarize findings for team management
  • Partner with other Technology Trainers and other IT teams on special projects
Job Specifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least three (3) years of related work experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Knowledge of desktop productivity software and document management software
  • Experience with eLearning software (Adobe Captivate, Camtasia and/or Articulate) and online training tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong motivational and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours
  • Ability to work independently and under own direction and initiative
  • Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly
  • Experience with macOS a plus
  • Quarterly travel to the following office: Miami

Expected Pay Range in New York: $86,300 - $108,550

Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
