Angel’s Flight a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles is a shelter for at-risk youth ages 10-17 that provides services to unaccompanied and undocumented minors.

Catholic Charities is seeking a Licensed MSW / Licensed MFT Case Manager / Counselor to provide one-on-one counseling to youth and their families. The Case Manager will be required to write comprehensive suitability and follow up reports and maintaining detailed case files.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completing a comprehensive assessment with youth within 3 days of their arrival.
  • Establish positive and trusting relationships with clients.
  • Assesses and identifies the needs and abilities of the clients and creates a treatment plan.
  • Develop a problem solving relationships with clients to ensure a positive outcome.
  • Meets weekly with the youth for individual sessions.
  • Educate and involve family members or other loved ones in the counseling process when necessary
  • Leads group sessions with the youth at the shelter.
  • Prepares required reports in a timely manner
  • Works in collaboration with the team that is working with the youth.
  • Works with other agencies to ensure clients receive all needed services; links clients to existing agencies and community resources, including advocacy.
  • Prepares required reports in a timely manner.
  • Records client-related information.
  • Displays sensitivity to the client population’ cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work or related field; ACSW preferred
  • Progressive experience as a Case Manager required.
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish Required.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen.
  • Maintain electronic case records that are in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and other federal and state regulation.
  • Ability to relate to administrative staff in a professional and appropriate manner.
  • Excellent written, communication, public speaking, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Ability to work as a positive, enthusiastic member of a team.
  • Requires frequent travel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office.

Assignment Details: Ends on 12/31/22. (Temp to Hire)

Job Types: Temporary, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Education:

  • Master's (Required)
