LSSI is seeking a full-time Therapeutic Foster CareChild Therapist Monday through Friday, hours varies.Are you a creative, mission-focused, problem-solving, team player who wants to be on the cutting edge of transforming the child welfare system in Illinois? As a Child Therapist, you will:

  • Work with children and youth, ages 6 - 14 years, with behavioral challenges to build their skills and provide advocacy and support.
  • Work closely with a positive, solution-oriented and supportive team.
  • Plan and implement highly individualized treatment interventions.
  • Work closely with highly trained professional foster parents.
  • Work in conjunction with the family therapist to improve family interactions and skills to prepare for the youth's return to the family.
  • Provide trauma informed support and intervention.
  • Solve problems, using your creativity and sense of humor.
  • Ensure this behavioral model is delivered with fidelity.
  • Transform the lives of children and families.

Must Haves:

  • A MSW or equivalent and LCSW or equivalent or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Experience working with youth with histories of mental health problems, trauma and child welfare involvement.
  • Flexibility, working in the community.
