Responsibilities
The Staff Occupational Therapist, a registered professional working under the guidelines from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy administrates patient care through evaluation, program planning, assessment and reassessment, establishment of goals and treatment programs, patient and family education, discharge planning and supervision of affiliate and support personnel. The Staff Occupational Therapist assists the Director in the accomplishment of the Business, Mission and Quality Objectives of Rehabilitation Services and of St. Bernardine Medical Center, Community Hospital of San Bernardino and Catholic Healthcare West. The Staff Occupational Therapist is involved in the scope of services for inpatients and outpatients, such as, Neurology, Orthopedics, Oncology, Cardiology, Medical Surgical, Skilled Nursing. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.

Qualifications
- Current registration, certification, or license as an Occupational Therapist issued by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. or proof of eligibility to sit for the National Certification Exam.
- Currently licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy or eligible for California Licensure.
- The candidate must have proof of eligibility.
- Current BLS certification.
- A licensed applicant must have proof of current applicant status.
