Job-Specific Tasks & Requirements:

Daily Operation

  • Manage and oversee all video and audio equipment for multiple tours.
  • Working operating and programming knowledge of Allen and Heath Audio consoles.
  • Knowledge of Dante or outer Audio via IP is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Qlab.
  • Operate the existing systems and learn to run new systems as needed.
  • Maintain video and audio cue track documentation.
  • Train touring team and local crew to run and troubleshoot all audio & video equipment.
  • Oversee inspection and maintenance of audio & video equipment. Ensure all documentation is current and information is formally recorded.
  • Working knowledge of digital test equipment for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Manage stock and inventory of your kit with the help of the touring team.
  • Remotely troubleshoot problems with any piece of equipment at any time.
  • Manage audio & video equipment documentation across multiple tours. The goal is to have standardized information across all tours of the same production.
  • Ensure safe wiring practices, in accordance with industry standards.
  • Thorough understanding of AC/DC electricity, basic electronics, and computer operations, as it pertains to video and audio systems.
  • Experience with Fiber Optics, Cat6, HDBaseT video, NDI, SDI, HDMI.
  • Knowledge of IT concepts such as IP networks, DHCP, and Fiber Optics.
  • Provide support to other departments, and run other show tracks.
  • Participate in special projects, including the installation of new show elements.

Load-In & Load-Out

  • Supervise load-in, set-up, installation, and implementation of the entire audio & video systems in each venue.
  • Install and program LED video walls and flat-screen TV monitors, ensuring smooth operation of the entire system.
  • Direct local crew, ensuring a safe working environment for the entire team.
  • Manage and update paperwork.

SME Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5 years of previous experience as a professional technician in a theatrical setting.
  • 3+ years working on tour, as a technician or crew chief for load-in and load-out
  • Experience leading international teams of technicians, or as a manager.
  • Organized and efficient, with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy loads, walk, stand, sit, crouch, bend, stretch, and reach.
    • 30-hour OSHA course completion card is a plus.
    • Current First-Aid certification is a plus.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google Workspace.
  • Legally permitted to work and travel internationally and hold a valid passport, without any legal restrictions. Fever Projects will provide work visas as needed.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal is essential.
  • Knowledge of multiple languages is a plus.
  • For US work purposes only, if visas can't be obtained:
    • Verification of the right to work in the United States, as demonstrated by completing the Form I-9 upon hire and submitting acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one's identity and work authorization.
  • If you do not have these certifications, they will be provided to you, upon signing an agreement with Fever.

Salary range for this role is $70,000-$90,000
