Traffic Control Assistant Trainee

Bruce & Merrilees is looking for a Traffic Control Assistant Trainee to add to our team on a temporary basis. This position will be required to work 1,000 hours on a specific project in the Fayette County area. There could be potential for a full time right for the right person!

Job Duties:

• Ensure we deliver a service we're proud of by working as One Team, seeking creating solutions to challenges, treating everyone with respect and always doing what’s right, keeping safety at the forefront of everything we do.
• Responsible for maintenance and protection of traffic signs, devices, and lights.
• Set up of specific traffic patterns.
• Attend Toolbox Talks and Safety meetings.
• Assist the traffic Foreman as needed on the project.
• Review and follow Guidelines of PennDOT Publication 213
• Observation of actual job signing and traffic control.
• Assist Foreman in traffic changes and maintenance and protection of traffic operations.
• Maintain safe travel lanes and conditions at all times.
• Assist motorists within the project limits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Interest in Construction or Electrical Industry.
• Strong work ethic with the willingness to learn.

This position will be directly located within Fayette County and the team member will complete 1,000 hours of on-the-job training in the role. There is a potential for a position at the end of this contract.

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

• Uniontown, PA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
