Basic Purpose

Research and fulfill requests and inquiries for copies of financial documents received from members, external
financial institutions and internal business areas campus wide as well as branch offices worldwide. Works
with close supervision and under clearly defined procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily request distribution tasks such as researching, printing, packaging and delivering requested
items upon fulfillment with a high level of accuracy
  • Research member account information to confirm destination of requested mail and accuracy of
documents produced by the automated system
  • Research check and statement transactions using corresponding transaction reports and systems in
accordance with specified service level agreements for various business units (e.g., Security, Contact
Center, Mortgage, Credit Cards, Account Services, Branch Operations, Data Control, Savings and
Membership, etc.)
  • Reference multiple databases, systems and image retrieval systems to acquire and distribute imaged
documents electronically and in paper form to members and internal and external customers
  • Research, process and distribute exception items such as rejected, back-office and missing items from
existing image repositories to requesting parties
  • Provide support to higher level specialists by performing job duties such as mail delivery and document
printing
  • Establish and meet deadlines for Security request fulfillments to ensure Security personnel can comply
with and respond to subpoenas and court orders by their due dates
  • Perform inventory of distribution supplies
  • Stay abreast of disruptions and issues that may impact distribution requests
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Basic clerical, technical and administrative skills
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Basic database and software skills
  • Basic organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Effective skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Basic skill exercising initiative and using good judgement to make sound decisions
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity

Desired Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of negotiable instruments

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Location: 141 Security Dr. Winchester, VA 22602

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report onsite 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting onsite will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and onboarding process.

Salary: Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain
competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.

The salary range for this position is: $18.50 - $20.50 Hourly Rate
