Our Irvine location is looking for a Driver Supervisor. We are seeking a qualified individual who has 5+ years of experience in providing technical support to plant personnel regarding OSHA regulations, state environmental regulations, and Federal DOT regulations. Supervisor is responsible for supervising all activities that are related to the operation of motor vehicles and logistics. The supervisor is required to select, train, and coach drivers about their roles and ensure that they are following the guidelines provided by the Department of Transportation (DOT). They must regularly audit delivery routes with their drivers so that they can achieve safe and efficient deliveries. Driver supervisors must conduct safety meetings and conduct investigations for those drivers involved auto accidents. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 10am - finish.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Trains truck drivers and consistently enforces company policies, protocols and procedures including but not limited to safety, DOT, record keeping

· Road test & route test new hires

· BIT & DOT Inspections

· Maintain all drivers’ logs, qualification files, compliance information, safety even records, vehicle maintenance documents, to ensure complete company policy and DOT compliance for all assigned facilities

· Regularly audit areas such as driver logs, record keeping, driver work practices, equipment conditions, ensuring compliance with company policy and DOT regulations

· Maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of company operations, policies, and procedures

· Manage driver performance including quality, productivity, safety, and compliance

· Working with Warehouse Ops Manager, Sales, and Customer Service groups for feedback and improvement in delivery and logistics

· Conduct regular safety meetings with driving staff to ensure that safety related information is priority

· Conducts staff meetings for drivers and dispatchers

· Conduct and ensure training is completed through SaferHub (pre-hire/post-accident/retraining/recertification)

· Investigating errors as appropriate by working with drivers, warehouse ops, and customer service

• Coach, support, discipline, encourage your assigned drivers
• Maintaining good communication with each of your drivers
• Responsible for total supervision, training, mentoring, and coaching of all assigned employees

· Set up Indeed ads to review resumes, hire, and conduct interviews for drivers

· Daily Driver Management: calls with issues on deliveries, driver daily check in, route review

· Weekly ride-a-longs that would take place one day per week with a random driver

· Driver performance as it relates to route time compared to hours scheduled

· Be a liaison with the drivers and the routing team to improve the stop durations, which will improve the routing system as a result.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• PC literate in Microsoft Office products.

· 5+ years’ work experience required, with 3 years in ground transportation industry preferred

· Must have flexibility to work inside and outside (office setting and field setting)

· Class A, CDL certified is preferred

• Experience within a distribution center
• Ability to deliver continuous improvement
• Supervises day to day operations for all drivers and dispatchers
• Improves delivery routes for drivers
