Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a leading global supplier of equipment, tools, service, and technical solutions for the mining industry. The product offering covers rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.

As the Control Tower you will be responsible for scheduling pick-ups with carriers, preparing shipping documents and following up on customer inquiries.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Ensure all shipments move in the most cost-effective way and are in adherence with shipping guidelines
• Obtain quotes for ad-hoc freight movements
• Schedule carrier shipments on specialized moves
• Ability to prepare shipping documents (BOL’s, SLI’s, etc.)
• Resolve routine Global Transportation issues on outbound shipments
• Maintain integrity of Freight Management System to include carrier rates and transit schedules
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement
• Participate in specialized logistics projects and reporting of KPI’s

Experience and Required Competencies

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a transportation environment including domestic,import and export shipments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience in a Transportation or Warehouse Management System

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
