100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Scheduled shifts will be Monday – Friday during normal business hours. This position is remote for individuals living in Wisconsin or Illinois.

We are seeking a Trauma Registrar to:
- Collect/abstract state and national trauma data bank elements into the Trauma Registry database on all patients meeting state or national trauma inclusion criteria.
- Maintain confidentiality of the registry data and provide registry data as appropriate for research.
Education :
Minimum – Completion of a one-year ICD-9/ICD-10 Coding Program or equivalent experience.
If not previously completed, within one (1) year of hire attend:
- The American Trauma Society’s Trauma Registrar Course or equivalent provided by a state trauma program
AND
- The Association of the Advancement of Automotive Medicine’s Injury Scaling Course
Work Experience :
Minimum – One (1) year coding experience OR previous experience working with trauma registry databases and handling medical information in a health care setting.
Licenses and Certifications :
Preferred – Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS). Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries (CSTR).
