Travel Coordinator - Hybrid (Temporary)
Job description
Culmen International, LLC is seeking a temporary Travel Coordinator, who will work in support of a Program Management Office (PMO) for a Department of Defense global logistics contract. The successful candidate must possess the skills listed below and be able to apply their knowledge to successfully complete end-to-end travel and logistic requirements within an IT System with minimal supervision and guidance.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Access and utilize the Defense Travel System to research (DTS), reserve can confirm travel reservations.
- Interact with requestors to define and develop end-to-end travel requirements.
- Provide recommendations to customers and project managers that will result in superior service and/or cost savings.
- Maintain current and accurate data in the company’s Electronic Management System.
- Prepare cost estimates for management and customer review.
- Coordinate task and travel details with service providers.
- Maintain close communication with task leads during task execution.
- Review and validate actual cost data against estimated expenses.
- Prepare, receive and file travel support documentation.
- Research, arrange and confirm travel reservations, including air travel, ground transportation, and lodging.
- Validate service providers by inspecting vehicles, equipment and records for safety and capability, as needed.
- Provide onsite support for large, high visibility events, as needed.
Experience and Qualifications:
- No less than 2 years of experience with the Defense Travel Management System
- Four years of relevant work experience.
- Exceptional Customer Service skills.
- Organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
