• Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

• Four years of experience as an RN, 3 of which must be in NICU

• Nurse manager experience

• Current California RN License

• BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA

• Current NRP certification

• Preferred:

• Master’s degree

• Experience with Quality Improvement and working with QI teams

• -5 years NICU experience

• -NICU Nurse Management experience

Job Description:

• Looking for an experienced Nursing Manager to lead our highly skilled team of healthcare professionals in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located at our main campus in San Diego. A successful candidate would be an experienced, creative leader with excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team, on a dynamic and progressive unit. The Manager will provide day-to-day leadership and strategic oversight, including managerial and clinical responsibilities, of the nursing unit and staff. Responsibilities include leading, managing, and influencing the daily operational activities associated with the assigned team, and support the overall business plan by monitoring team performance and outcomes relative to established goals/ measurements.

• Rady's NICU is a dynamic and progressive unit, and a major referral center for the most critically ill newborns, many of whom suffer from severe heart and lung conditions or are born extremely premature. The 60-bed NICU provides level 4 care, the highest designation available from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
