The Turnaround Lead, Lake Charles Refinery leads the development and execution of assigned turnaround scopes, estimates, work plans, and schedules. All work is done following the Phillips 66 Turnaround Required Standards and is consistent with Phillips 66 core values and aligned with the goals of the Lake Charles Manufacturing Complex. This position works under the general direction of the Director, Turnaround & Projects.

Responsibilities May Include:
Developing and maintaining evergreen scopes, estimates, work plans, and schedules for each area

Optimizing and maintaining Turnaround Excellence Standards

Establishing and leading compliance with TA milestones and execution schedules

Supervising the Planning and Execution Teams; organizing assigning, distributing, and managing the TA work list

Auditing TA plans and schedules to ensure gaps are recognized and closed before execution

Ensuring accurate and timely communication among all parties is maintained throughout the turnaround; leading daily meetings

Ensuring continuing flow of information to the cost control group including TA Estimate and progress reports

Ensuring that documentation is created, completed, and stored in historical files, e.g., work orders, notification closures, Standard Workbooks

Evaluating, coaching, and developing Turnaround Planners and Turnaround Clerks

Providing leadership in the planner/scheduler network

Providing input and support for TA related project components

Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Must maintain a valid driver’s license

Three (3) or more years of experience in refinery maintenance specifically fixed equipment

Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience

Three (3) or more years of experience in planning and scheduling

Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Information can be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel

Knowledge of operating conditions, equipment histories, and fixed equipment specifications

Interacting with all levels of the organization

Ability to interact with various departments within the refinery organization and coordinate activities and resources

Administrative skills necessary to manage projects-planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and tracking

The Lake Charles Refinery is located in Westlake, Louisiana. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. Facilities also include a specialty coker and calciner. The refinery processes a mixture of light to heavy, low- and high sulfur and low- and high-acid crude oils. It receives domestic, Canadian and other foreign crude oil through truck, pipeline, marine transportation and terminals, including the Beaumont and Clifton Ridge terminals and the Bayou Bridge Pipeline. Lake Charles produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include off-road diesel, home heating oil, feedstock for our Excel Paralubes joint venture, specialty graphite petroleum coke and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed in the southeastern and eastern United States by truck, rail car, barge or pipelines and exported to Latin America and West Africa.
