General Produce Company is a local, family owned fresh fruits and vegetables distribution business. We are located at a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in North Sacramento.
Schedule: Sun-Mon-Tue-Thurs, 7pm-5am
OFF: Wed, Fri, Sat
Driver comes from Ukiah to Sacramento, RT, Driver shuttles empty Class A truck from Ukiah to Sacramento at night.
Arrives in Sacramento and swaps truck for loaded truck.
Fuels truck in route. Returns to Ukiah.
Key drop deliveries on return route to Ukiah possible.

Commercial Delivery Route Truck Driver delivers produce and other products to General Produce customers
Qualifications:

• Valid California Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License with air brake endorsement.
• Driving record must conform to company policy and show no DUIs.
• Must comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations related to operators.
• Basic writing, reading and speaking English language skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to read maps
• Some basic technological proficiency required to operate cell phones.
• Ability to perform the primary functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Licenses
Driver must maintain a valid CA commercial driver license with air brake endorsement. and DMV record must meet the company’s policy in order to perform driving duties.
Education and Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent and/or one year experience driving a commercial truck. General Produce prefers some experience working in the produce industry. Experience working in food distribution is also preferred.
Language Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret customers’ orders, procedure manuals and other written material.
• Ability to communicate verbally and comprehend verbal instructions.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, coworkers, supervisors and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

• Perform basic arithmetic functions: additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions.

Mental Abilities:

• Ability to carry out defined procedures and duties with specific instructions.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, customers, and the public.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
