Summary/Objective

The Unarmed Security Officer position prevents unauthorized visitors, provides general property security and assists with the physical collection of company assets for a single Mexican restaurant; completes related work as required. Security persons promote order and provide visible presence that deters safety issues. Security officers possess a friendly attitude and offer excellent customer service.

Citiguard is currently hiring for (3) Unarmed Security Officer positions to provide afternoon unarmed security coverage for one account in Sacramento. Requirements:

• Valid BSIS Security License (guard card).

• Valid California Driver's License.

• Valid Birth Certificate or Social Security Number Card.

• Valid High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Knows and can assume the duties of all other non-supervisory security positions.

• Knows and enforces all of the assigned rules/policies

• Have complete knowledge of the assigned account and amenities.

• Assist in the collection and reporting of statistical information and data.

• Ensures compliance of entry requirements as needed.

• Monitors and responds to fire and/or rescue calls to assist as needed and able.

• Documents activities, collisions, crimes, policy violations, and other events as required, in the company electronic reporting software.

• Maintains a good working relationship with local public enforcement and other agencies.

• Within the limits of the job objectives, assist public agencies when requested.

• Maintains a neat and professional appearance.

• Ability to work with and/or without supervision

• Inspects the interior and exterior property for damage, intrusion, security violations, and/or hazards reporting the results on required forms.

• Be familiar with all facilities and amenities of the assigned account.

• Courteous and professional at all times.

• Maintains poise and is objective when faced with occasional verbally abusive persons.

• Maintain electronic and written daily reporting logs.

• Thoroughly inspects specific areas of interests and reports any issues in a timely manner.

• Monitor security and alarm systems.

• Ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures.

• Ensure adherence to all company security protocols and procedures.

• Any other duties as may be required by leadership.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is responsible for ensuring a safe environment and ensuring all customers are using the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) and all tools and equipment are being used correctly.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position requires the employee to drive for several hours, between multiple locations. The employee will make stops as required to provide security coverage at multiple client accounts. This position will require the employee to exercise situational awareness skills while following designated routes.

Pay

$16 per hour
