Nature of Job
Process new policies, renewals, changes and cancellations; verify accuracy of policy information; communicate with agents and policyholders regarding underwriting processing matters.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Rate, code and enter new policies, changes and cancellations into computer system.
- Prepare renewals for processing.
- Communicate with agents and policyholders regarding specific rating information.
- Work with Information Services on master files and various other related items.
- Order inspection reports, MVRs, CLUE and other insurance reports.
- Send loss payee, mortgagee and other policyholder letters.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Line Supervisor or Underwriter.
- High School or equivalent education.
- Ability to learn rating and procedural concepts.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to detect and correct errors in procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with company computer systems and processing methods.
- Commitment to company values and customer service.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
