Our position is a great opportunity for an entry level position in our hospital and will provide the right candidate with the opportunity to see and interact with a variety of different departments and all levels of staff. This position will provide exposure to all areas of our hospital and will be a great learning experience for someone just entering the veterinary field.

About the Job:

As the Veterinary/Kennel Assistant you will responsible for:

• Providing support to the entire veterinary hospital staff
• Provide basic animal husbandry and hygiene between patients
• Basic record keeping procedures
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital, including laundry, emptying trash, washing dishes, kennels and runs.
• Providing essential patient care, including feeding, bathing, clipping nails, and exercise of patients
• Assisting with basic animal restraint
• Ensuring that treatment areas and exam rooms remain fully stocked
• Taking direction from, and performing duties as instructed by Veterinarians and other technicians as needed

• Must be able to handle several tasks and deal with an environment of changing priorities
