Job description

We are a family owned animal hospital that also offers boarding and dog training. We are constantly growing and looking for new ways to serve our community. We are looking for an eager, hardworking individual to join our team full time. Animal care is the priority of this position and must be done with proper diligence, care, and compassion.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 18 years old.
• Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to effectively deal with them even when they are stressed, ill, or in pain.
• Able to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Able to work with a great attitude and be flexible with clinic/patient/staff needs.
• Interact with other team members with professionalism and respect.
• Approaches his/her job duties in a mature nature.
• Practices excellent communication skills verbal, written and non-verbal.
• Ability to utilize a computer and learn the required software for patient record keeping.

SCHEDULE

• Full time
• Weekends (Sundays are required)
• Holidays

DUTIES

• Walking/ Feeding/ Medicating any and all boarding animals.
• Labeling all patients and kennels, along with belongings of boarding animals.
• Each animal is to have clean water at all times.
• Record keeping for all boarding animals.
• Bathing, including nail trims and anal gland expressions.
• Maintaining a clean kennel and yard area to ensure a sanitary environment for all animals.
• Oversee group play of boarding or training dogs
• General housekeeping; dishes, laundry, restocking, etc

Must be willing to help where needed, including keeping the parking lot presentable, assisting in the other departments, and with maintenance around the hospital.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 per hour
