Surgery. VetMED is an AAHA-accredited specialty referral and emergency hospital with a thriving specialty Surgery service comprised of 3 surgeons and an experienced and collaborative support team. VetMED's other departments include Neurology, Emergency/Critical Care, Dermatology and Radiology. Our Surgery service is dedicated to advancing veterinary care and supporting the highest quality veterinary surgery in the Valley. CVT preferred but all motivated applicants will be considered.

Daily job functions include inpatient management, client appointments, preparation of patients for surgery, running anesthesia for orthopedic, soft tissue and neurosurgery cases in addition to advanced diagnostics with CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy/thoracoscopy, and collaboration with other specialty and emergency departments.

We are looking for individuals with strong technical skills including anesthesia, excellent client service and communication skills, and the ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Applicants should be self-motivated, have great attention to detail, and thrive on working as a strong team. Training is available for lesser experienced candidates with a desire to learn and a positive attitude. More experienced applicants would be expected to eventually participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours emergency surgeries.
