What we are looking for:
The VP of Digital Marketing will work within the marketing department to set and implement our digital media strategy, allocate funding levels and performance targets for search engine marketing, paid media and other performance marketing activities. They oversee the digital marketing team as well as our external agency partners regarding all acquisition marketing, strategy management, execution and optimization across channels. This role is focused on optimizing our full marketing funnel – driving quality traffic, capturing leads and optimizing site conversion and nuruturing our leads through email to ultimately drive enrollment revenue. They're responsible for the business's day-to-day tactical and strategic operations and support sales and marketing analytics to drive performance improvements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Recruit, inspire, and manage a team of high-performing marketers (and agencies) operationalizing our go to market strategy while still being hands-on. Mentor team members, help in the execution of their duties and ensure their professional skills are constantly improving
- Execute the strategic planning and coordination of digital media campaigns to advance IIN’s goals, while supporting communication plans of key messages to internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for media spend and mix to meet our KPIs. Analyze, monitor, and report on all campaigns, developing clear takeaways on channel effectiveness, next steps, and potential optimizations
- Be the voice and lead for our prospect customer experience including our traffic driving channels, website and nurture marketing channels including email.
- Help define and drive content strategy direction across all acquisition channels by making data informed decisions based on past performance
- Directs Digital Data Strategy and execution of an analytical framework to measure effectiveness of our acquisition strategies in partnership with our technology and data analytics teams.
- Manages effective partnerships with outside vendors, internal constituents, other departments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum Years of Related Experience: 7 – 10+ (10+ preferred)
- Minimum Years of Management Experience: 4
- Demonstrated ability to direct and set strategy for online direct response demand generation and optimization activities, including the areas of:
- Paid search and Social
- SEO
- Website / Conversion Optimization
- Effective reporting of results to all stakeholders
- Expertise in Digital Ad Technologies of DSP, DMP, DCO, Ad Exchanges, Tag Management platforms, and Ad Servers
- Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems, ability to help develop problem-solving skills among other team members as appropriate.
- Strong financial acumen, budget development and management skills, including the ability to track expenses against commitments, set priorities for funding, and develop annual budgets.
- Ability to work independently; includes ability to recognize need for involvement of other teams/peers and capability to effectively facilitate that collaboration.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, as well as excellent written communication skills
