Position Summary
Works under general supervision of Administrator to provide effective and efficient management of Juvenile Court"s volunteer programs.

Pay Grade: 51 Minimum Qualifications
100.00% - 1. Three (3) years of experience in social services, family assistance, counseling or related field; and

2. Graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor"s degree in psychology, criminal justice, social science, behavioral science or related field; OR
3. An equivalent combination of related education and/or experience.
4. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Duties and Responsibilities
1. Monitors Volunteer Services Bureau (VSB) computer systems (Juvenile Court Systems (JCS) and Auxiliary Probation Service (APS)) to ensure accuracy of statistics.
2. Maintains rapport with children, parents, volunteers, managers and employees.

3. Recruits, trains, and manages program volunteers.

4. Utilizes court computer system to compile reports, track cases, and update case information.

5. Works with all VSB programs (APS, APS-Summons, APS Mentoring, Bringing Youth Positive Assistance through Special Services (BYPASS), and Ambassadors Desk).

6. Ensures all probationer and volunteer files are properly routed, filed and secure.

7. Oversees inventory control on APS badges and wallets and retrieves credentials and cases upon volunteer termination, resignation or leave of absence.

8. Attends detention hearings and Court as needed.

9. Responsible for physical placement of electronic monitoring and supervises child placed on electronic monitoring.

10. Generates probationer releases, violation of probations and submit to VSB Deputy Administrator for review/approval.

11. Performs other related duties as required or directed. KSA's
KSAs - 1. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task, and highly motivated.

2. Ability to develop work plans and objectives; identify problems and recommend necessary changes.

3. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agencies, co-workers and clients.

4. Must have excellent communication (oral and written) skills.

5. Ability to write meaningful reports and evaluate data from reports and case histories.
6. General knowledge of supervision and personnel management practices and techniques.

7. Must be knowledgeable of Juvenile Court policies and procedures.

8. Ability to plan, organize and maintain even flow of work and meet deadlines.

9. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Disclaimer
