Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and maintain current and future state business architecture.
  • Deliver innovative architectural initiatives that drive revenue, increase competitiveness, and improve efficiency in line with business strategy.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s internal and external-facing technologies and architectures.
  • Develop and maintain current and planned state architectural blueprints.
  • Develop and maintain aspirational architectural road map for the enterprise.
  • Communicate and champion architectural decisions, plans, goals and strategies.
  • Develop and administer best practices for master data management and integration.
  • Initiate and deliver technology evaluations and recommendations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies.
  • Provide architectural consulting to programs, projects and initiatives.
  • Support business and IT strategic planning.
  • Act as the focal point for enterprise architecture and IT standards.
  • Develop, communicate and deploy Enterprise Architecture Governance processes.
  • Develop and communicate enterprise technology standards and policies.
  • Review new and existing program/project architecture for compliance with IT standards, policies and architectural plans.
  • Review IT procurement plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural plans.
  • Document exceptions to architectural standards.
  • Ensure that project documentation captures significant architectural decisions.
  • Ensure that architectural governance is a fair, consistent and transparent process.
  • Identify architectural risks and propose alternatives and solutions.
  • Deploy and maintain an Enterprise Architecture repository and tool set.
  • Ensure the quality of architecture and design of systems.
  • Fully and completely understand system interdependencies and limitations.
  • Survey the industry to identify best practices and new technologies applicable to our business
  • Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in leading engineering, systems and architecting platforms for the enterprise. Demonstrated track record of leading the delivery of large scale, high quality systems.
  • Domain and industry knowledge: Practical, real-world experience supersedes direct domain knowledge. In an ideal world, this executive will bring fluency and experience from the leading blue chip technology and software businesses, having integrated enterprise-scale SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and ServiceNow.
  • Strategic Leadership: This executive can define and evangelize technical strategy and vision. They have the ability to influence, orchestrate and drive change across a global organization. This VP must have extensive experience in either: large scale operational support systems; building complex distributed systems; building monitoring or management tools for large-scale environments. They are also experienced in mentoring/training a technical community on complex issues.
  • Business Acumen and Operational Capability: Strong business acumen, is highly organized and detail-oriented. They are able to develop a strategic, detailed-oriented technical game plan with the competency to execute and operationalize the plans.
  • Technical and Engineering Experience: Possess deep expertise (and passions) for managing complex projects, with bottom line impact; they will be experienced in leading the software development life cycle processes and best practices; they are experienced with Agile development methods and working in a complex, service oriented software development arena.

  • Forward-thinking and disruptive mindset. Not afraid to take risks and push the envelope – from technologies through operations. Able to ‘break a little glass” to get things done.
  • Comfortable in an intense, private equity environment.
  • Happy and willing to travel as necessary.

Base Pay Range: Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $187,000 - $212,000. However, the actual pay range depends each candidate’s experience, qualifications, and job location.
Variable Pay: Discretionary annual bonus, based on personal and company performance.
