General Description:   Salem West is a Donations center that serves client referrals first. We pickup and deliver donations of furniture and soft goods throughout Crow Wing and Aitkin County. It is a two-person team job. Driver (must have or able to obtain a DOT medical card, non CDL). The driver position is also responsible for overseeing donations intake, sorting, and cleaning of applicable hard and soft goods. Inventory organization, and warehouse safety.

Background check is required (no felonies, domestic or violent convictions). Clean driving record (the last 5 years)

Essential Job Functions:

· Handle the receiving and donation process with the utmost respect and care including, greeting the donor, assisting in unloading donations, telling the Salem West story, and issuing a receipt.

· Help maintain clean and well organized reception, presort and processing areas.

· Maintain clean and well organized personal processing stations.

· Assist in assembling client referrals

· Assist in picking appropriate furniture for delivery.

· Reports any safety violations immediately to Manager

· Organizes the onsite inventory.

· Ensures that all safety policies and best practices are being adhered to, by setting the example and enforcing good order.

· Ensures that the Donation Warehouses are kept neat, clean, and organized. Free from safety violations

· Setup Monthly Rummage Sales throughout the summer months.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Must have a friendly, smiling demeanor.

· Ability to interact cooperatively with individuals and groups.

· Ability to organize and supervise volunteers.

· Strong oral and written communication skills.

· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

· Must be detail-oriented and have solid organizational skills.

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Must be a problem solver and be able to work with a minimum of supervision and take initiative.

· Excellent time management skills.

· Osha 10 training recommended.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
