SUMMARY

We are seeking a hard-working and reliable Warehouse Operator to join our team. In this role, you will work in our warehouse department, managing outgoing orders. Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager you will be responsible for the process, receipt and shipment of inbound and outbound materials and products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Process receiving of products for accuracy before goods are decorated, apparel finishing (fold/bag), and train embroidery machine operation. Process inbound and outbound products materials and shipments.

· Verify product received against purchase orders and packing slips.

· Route/transport product to appropriate location.

· Pick and pack (includes kitting), verify shipments against customer orders.

· Prepare shipping documents.

· Operate lift truck, hoist, or other material handling equipment.

· Process inbound products and materials shipments.

· Maintain inventory records in system.

· Report damaged goods and shortages.

· Resolve discrepancies with purchasing or external vendor.

· Determine and route to appropriate location.

· Verify product shipments against customer orders and picking/delivery slips.

· Release customer orders for picking/shipping.

· Resolve discrepancies with customer service.

· Trouble shoot missing/late orders.

· Prepare shipping documents.

o Packing slips

o Bills of lading

o Weight and shipping charges

· Process ship confirmations to maintain inventory records in system.

· Maintain appropriate documentation (hard) files.

· Maintain project order fulfillment operations by initiating and coordinating operational policies and procedures.

· Coordinate product organization and personnel within the order fulfillment area to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

· Create and update project calendars and timelines.

· Create and update project fulfillment documents and systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or GED.

· Forklift/material handling equipment certification

· Business systems software

· Basic inventory control knowledge

· Distribution documentation requirements

· May use bar code readers or radio frequency scanners

· UPS/FedEx equipment

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

· Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

· Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, in order to collect data, analyze facts, and determine appropriate response.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

· Talk and hear; ability to communicate effectively.

· See and adjust focus to include close, distance, depth, and peripheral vision;

· Stand, walk, sit, (up to 8 hours) balance, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl;

· Handle objects, tools, and controls; reach with arms and hands.

· Be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to:

· A low-to-moderate noise level (offices).

· A moderate-to-loud noise level (public areas).

· Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.

· Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy.

· Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to set priorities, be highly responsive to work directions and meet critical deadlines.
