The work hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
The pay is $22.18 per hour
Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Warehouse Specialist will perform the essential duties associated with the operation of a mailroom.

Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Warehouse Specialist will perform the essential duties associated with the operation of a mailroom.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the FERC internal self-service store, online supply catalog, and ordering system.
- Collect and identify requirements for consumable and non-consumable goods and services, research potential products, identify and recommend potential vendor sources, recommend buying strategies, develop supporting acquisition documents, and assist with the management of equipment and supplier contracts.
- Manage the ordering, receiving, unpacking, stocking, and distribution of supply items. Maintain accurate records of current inventory levels and issues/distributions that have been made.
- Collect supply item usage data from the FERC internal online supply catalog in order to establish metrics and reports that will be utilized to determine which items to stock, their appropriate inventory levels, reorder points, and to maximize order fill rates.
- Ensure FLD supply internal controls are followed to prevent the waste, fraud, and abuse of government property and consumable supplies.
- In coordination with FLD Facilities Section personnel maintain storage rooms/cages located within the facility and other materials.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of what is in the Logistics & Supply storage area and as appropriate make recommendations as to what items should be considered for recycling/disposal/DRMO.
- Coordinate agency recycling, scrap metal, and disposal/DRMO program.
- Order and distribute copy paper, paper towels, first aid kit supplies, cleaning items, and other identified consumable items to their designated location throughout the building. Maintain these items at their required minimum inventory levels at all times.
- Run the FLD equipment temporary loan program. (Label makers, coolers, flags easels, canopies, surge protectors, vacuums, carts, dollies, etc.)
- As required provide surge manpower to support special events, tenant services, and other special project work requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
The incumbent must be able to stand 40%, walk 40% and sit 20% of the work time. Must be mobile, flexible, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to effectively communicate in English orally and in writing, and actively participate in meetings with staff, other agencies, and customs officials.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years of experience working in a commercial mailroom setting. Experience with hazardous materials handling and the use of mail screening equipment is required. Must possess sound judgment, foresight, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer email and word processing skills are required. Possess excellent oral and written communications skills; fluency in spoken and written English. Demonstrated strong customer service skills. Ability to adapt to fast-paced work/office environment with accuracy. Must possess or be able to maintain a Secret clearance.
