Tier I Automotive Supplier has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Supervisor in Gadsden, AL:

This position is responsible to coordinate all shipping activities in three shipping areas within a multi shift operation.

Warehouse Supervisor

• Ensure on a daily basis that all shipments are prepared according to company procedures.
• Ensure all customer specific requirements and meet in regards to documentation, labeling, electronic data transfer, etc..
• Ensure that weekly and daily shipping plans are laid out and properly communicated to all shipping personnel so they are well aware of shipping windows.
• Ensure shipments are per-staged in a timely manner so that proper labeling, additional documents, and dock audits can be preformed well before shipping window time.
• Ensure all shipping personnel and following shipping Standard Operating Procedures.
• Track and report shipping performance such and numbers of shipments per area, window times missed by trucking companies, shipping delays, etc..
• Maintain a good working relationship with customer shipping departments and ensure any issues are communicated properly.
• Understanding documentation requirements for international shipments and maintaining updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for specific countries and customers.
• Responsible to ensure Fedex and UPS shipments and handled correctly with the shipping departments.
• Work with local shipping resources to schedule nonstandard shipment pickups as necessary.
• Providing outstanding customer service by handling and responding to all customer inquiries of shipments with urgency and detail.
• Troubleshooting all shipping issues such as delivery exceptions, returned orders, and missed deliveries.
• Strive to improve existing shipping and system functionality.
• Monitoring inventory of all shipping supplies and collaborating with Purchasing on supplies ordering.
• Ensures proper organization and cleanliness of the shipping area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

• Shipping & receiving: 5 years (Preferred)
