Pay Range: $17.00-18.00 per hour plus competitive benefits
Spanish Bilingual differential: $0.75 per hour (as applicable)
Position Type: Full-time / 40 hours per week
Expected Hours per Week: Mon-Fri; 7:00a-3:30p with the ability to flex hours to accommodate business needs.

Remote Eligibility: Level 1-This position is not eligible to work from home.
Reports To: Operations Manager
Summary: In this role, you have the opportunity to support effective and efficient warehouse operations for the safe storage and equitable distribution of food items to clients and partner agencies. You will also assist with operational repack projects with the support of our volunteer force. These volunteers will partner with you to collect, sort, repack, and distribute nearly 10 million pounds of food!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Accept all incoming donations following proper procedure to ensure the donations are properly coded, inspected for food safety, donor receipts created as needed, and communicating large donations in alignment with organizational procedures.
- Order pulling, invoicing, and loading.
- Check and record holding temperatures throughout the facility alerting the Warehouse Lead of any concerns.
- Inspect and complete inspection logs for all warehouse equipment for general wear and tear & to ensure it is safe for operation.
- Accurately enter data into our organizational inventory system, CERES, timely.
- Safely operate forklifts and electric/manual pallet jacks to efficiently move, organize, and store products to help mitigate waste.
- Adhere to FBLC safety standards, OSHA regulations, and maintain food safety standards with various types of food product (frozen, dry & fresh) and communicating safety standards or changes to volunteers in real time. When operating company equipment or vehicles adhere to safety standards and ensure others are as well.
- Partner with the Volunteer Projects Coordinator to coordinate and direct volunteer repack projects typically with 2 or more groups on different projects simultaneously in accordance with distribution priorities including inventory pulling based on the first in first out (FIFO) method, staging, set-up, organization, station replenishment, tagging, and tear-down necessary for each project.
- Provide assistance and backup to the Operations team as needed.

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent with warehouse experience required.
Pre-employment screening requirements: Ability to pass all pre-screening requirements, pass a WorkSTEPS job-specific test, possess a valid U.S. Driver's License with a good driving record as verified with an MVR check, and possess a current forklift certification or be able to obtain certification at the expense of the organization.
Language Skills and Ability: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language with a preference of bi-lingual in Spanish.
Computer Skills: Must have a working knowledge of databases and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with Inventory Management, and Project Management systems is Microsoft Navision Ceres 2009 preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct reports but is responsible for the coordination of repack and nourishing network volunteers, as needed.
Work Environment: This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear with or without aid, walk for short or extended periods of time, stand for short or extended periods of time, sit for short and extended periods of time, kneel, crouch, crawl, stoop, bend repeatedly, pull, reach above the shoulder with hands and arms, regularly use hands to finger, grasp, handle, feel, pull, climb stairs or ladders, step up and down at least 29 inches, balance, write, count, read, analyze, alphabetize, and frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 55 lbs., frequently push or pull objects up to 75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, as needed.
