We’re looking for an amazing individual who has a passion and solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, web development, WordPress web development and the WordPress Elementor framework would be a bonus. The goal of this position is to teach high school students from the Phillip J. Patiño School of Entrepreneurship how to build fully functioning websites with the WordPress platform. The sophomore student profile is a team of students working together to build websites and setting up email marketing for local businesses. This allows the students to web deign concepts as a part of their student internship with Quiq Labs. The sophomore's Web and Online Marketing class will be one of two Quiq Labs positions on campus. Quiq Labs will recruit around fifteen business owners who will allow our students to have a real-world experience creating their websites. At the end of the school year, the websites will be given to the business owners for free.

This position will also include providing instruction for one class a day of Advanced Web Design for juniors and seniors of the Phillip J. Patiño School of Entrepreneurship. The junior and senior student profile is a team of students who will create a start-up business that needs online-marketing and a completed WordPress website to promote their new business.

You will be working with a credentialed teacher in the classroom. You will not be alone and you don’t have to worry about any type of classroom management. There are times when you’ll be working alongside the Quiq Labs Online Marketing Instructor as well.

The first couple of months will be working side-by side in the classroom with the founders of Quiq Labs. This will help with understanding how student engagement should be and learning how we make learning fun. On top of that, most lessons will be provided in the form of Google Slide presentations or pitch decks. Some updates to the slides will need to be made for the current school year. You’ll have prep periods each day with the credentialed teacher of the classroom. This will insure that your lessons align with Fresno Unified School District's marketing, web design and business standards.

Responsibilities:

• Enjoys working with and providing fun educational environment to teens
• Enjoy learning from teens
• Professional etiquette appropriate for an instructor in the classroom
• Collaborative and respectful with teachers, principals and others

• Professional etiquette when working with administration staff such as principle and vice-principal
• High attendance is a must. There are no substitute teachers to replace your days off
• Good communication
• Managing Google Suite for Student Work
• Have to pass a background check in order to work on a school campus
• Finger printing will be a part of the background check
• Working Monday - Thursday on campus 8:30am - 3:45pm
• Working with Quiq Labs leadership Fridays 9am - 12pm
• Must wear Quiq Labs branded shirts at least two days a week
