Job Summary

The Programmer Sr. (Web/Mobile Apps) will design, develop, and implement web portals/mobile apps used by our members, providers and staff. The incumbent will participate in our Agile/Scrum development teams to help optimize our member and provider digital experience. The Programmer Sr. will be part of a team responsible for building and supporting mobile apps and web-enabled applications. The incumbent will interface with product owners and business staff to determine system requirements to improve efficiency, accountability and workflow. The incumbent will have proven Mobile App and Web site development, architecture and content management system experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes, designs, develops Mobile Apps and Web applications; works with the full software development lifecycle of new projects, writing and maintaining documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, changes, and corrections; consults with stakeholders and users to gather information about needs, objectives, functions, features and other requirements.
  • Designs, develops, tests and maintains mobile applications using Xamarin/MAUI/C# for both iOS and Android.
  • Serves as a full stack developer on multi-tier scalable, fault tolerant and secured applications.
  • Develops highly responsive web UIs (Angular JS and .NET/Core), interfaces with third party components, builds and consumes API calls via web services (SOAP/RESTful), writes and consumes data related objects on the back end (SQL database).
  • Collaborates with developers, stakeholders and subject-matter experts to establish technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
  • Coordinates with technical team on the development of Test Plans and works with the Information Technology Services (ITS) groups to ensure complete testing of all applications.
  • Provides support for existing business systems, maintains, and enhances existing web and client-based applications, modifies existing applications to conform to system changes, addresses and solves complex customer service tickets. Advises and works with business teams to resolve specific or complex problems.
  • Participates in code reviews and provide technical feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Implements secure coding practices on assigned systems.
  • Researches, analyzes, and designs solutions for complex practices, procedures and problems.
  • Implements task management, conflict resolution and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Possesses the Ability To:

  • Demonstrate expert programming knowledge using Microsoft .NET/Core technologies to develop secure database and web-based applications such as: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, and AJAX.
  • Provide and receive instructions and constructive feedback.
  • Provide production support and resolve issues for existing applications.
  • Understand and interpret the user’s needs and ideas into specific data information technology solutions.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related field required.
  • 5 years of professional web development (C#) and production experience for high traffic Web sites required.
  • 3 years of experience with mobile app development (iOS & Android. Windows mobile a plus). Including technical design, mobile application architectures, design patterns, UI/UX and app store submission requirements.
  • 1 year experience with submitting mobile applications to the app stores (iTunes and Google Play) required.
  • 1 year experience in popular JavaScript frameworks and libraries (Angular, React, Vue, etc.), RESTful Web Services, Microsoft Visual Studio 2015+, Team Foundation Server or other version control system required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of database development and production support experience (Microsoft SQL Server 2016+) preferred.
  • 2 years of experience with NET | MVC– Razor | .NET (Core) preferred.
  • 2 years of experience with JSON, XAML/XML, and Web Services preferred.
  • 2 years of experience with Xamarin/MAUI development preferred.
  • Experience with other mobile development languages such as Swift, Objective C, JavaScript preferred.
  • Experience in any of the following software development platforms/tools; GitHub, Nuget package manager, NPM preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience implementing complex enterprise solutions preferred.

Knowledge of:

  • Application programming interfaces, communication protocols, programming languages, and various scripting languages and web-based/cloud-based computing best practices.
  • Server software operation, maintenance, and extension (using various programming tools) and application to multiple server platforms.
  • Familiarity with iOS and Android OS operating system.
  • Computer architecture, in both hardware and software components.
  • Concepts of database, application, and web security.
  • Fundamentals of Agile methodology.
  • Knowledge of Xamarin Forms/.Net Maui.
  • Methods and techniques of de-bugging programs and applications.
  • Principles and practices of applications design and programming and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server architecture and programming and techniques in programming utilizing best known practices and design patterns.
  • Systems and procedures analysis and development.
  • Working knowledge of ALM with Azure DevOps integration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $146,300.00 per year
