Job description

Total Directional Services seeks an experienced Well Planner to serve as the in-house Well Planner for a major operator in the Greater Houston Area. The candidate will be required to work on location at the customer's corporate headquarters 3-5 days per week.

The responsibilities of the Well Planner will include (but are not limited to):

• Use information provided by the customer to create a well plan.
• Plot and prepare graphic representation to provide to customer and rig locations.
• Receive surveys from Directional Drillers and enter them into the computer to provide plan vs actual comparative reports and compile end-of-well reports for the customer.
• Maintain information from proposal to end-of-well.
• Lead pre-planning meeting with customers.
• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physicalconstraints of the job.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess bachelor's degree from an accredited University
• Must have at least 2 years of experience working as a Directional Well Planner
• Proficiency using Landmark Compass and CAD software
• Customer focused with exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
• Planning experience in the Haynesville Shale is preferred

Pay for this position depends on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
