NookWoodworking is a small woodshop located in East Williamsburg, founded and handcrafted by David. If you have an interest in working at a boutique woodshop assisting will all aspects of the business, this may be the place for you! Hours are flexible.

NookWoodworking was born out of my desire to create the most authentic and innovative woodworking projects possible for patrons to enjoy at my Nook Café & Craft Beer Parlour in Bushwick. My furniture, woodworking, and metalworking pieces - specializing in floating shelves, lap desks, propagation stations, serving trays, and more - are thoughtfully designed and exquisitely crafted.

Responsibilities

• Administrative assistance, coordinating and arranging schedules, deliveries, and customer pick-ups.
• Assist with inventory, packaging, and shipping. Inspect, test, prepare, and pack products for shipment. Maintain and organize packaging and inventory room.
• Assist primary woodworking team in building established NookWoodworking products. You may need to use basic power tools (e.g., table saw, miter saw, band saw, drill press, jointer, planer, router, sander, etc.) and some hand tools. Staining and finishing products.
• Run errands for shop when needed
• Maintain tools and shop cleanliness
• Carry and arrange lumber, inventory, and other shop items.

Skills

• Reliable, hardworking, and fast-paced. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Performs continuous, expeditious work
• Enjoys manual work. You will be on your feet most of the day
• Intermediate woodworking knowledge. Hands-on experience with all basic power and hand tools
• Steady and reliable hands, especially around saws. Safety is critical.
• Strong time management
• Work hour flexibility
• Strong and able to lift and carry heavy products
• Intermediate computer skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
